Editor's Blog: Apologies For The Brief Hiatus

By David Emmett | Thu, 25/08/2022 - 19:29

As you may know if you have been following me on Social Media, I rode my motorcycle down to the Austrian round of MotoGP at the Red Bull Ring. While this is something I would recommend to everyone - people should ride motorcycles as much as possible - it did make working a little more difficult, especially when holed up in hotels in small Bavarian villages, as charming as they were.

I was able to work on the road, but I did not get around to posting. For that, my apologies. Some of the things I have been working on should be up over the next few days. Meanwhile, I will be catching up with a few news items which happened while I was riding.

Apologies again, and thanks for your support and your patience.

Since it was on a slope,

Since it was on a slope, probably more than that, which makes it extremely difficult to lift past horizontal. BTDT

Making the most of it

I think your Twitter updates can be considered a makeshift Motomatters article on how to enjoy riding to and from a MotoGP event. For as far as I'm concerned, there's been no hiatus!

Apologies??

No need for apologies mate!! one of the best parts of any MotoGP is the ride there and the ride back!! A bunch of mates and myself make the annual pilgrimage to Phillip Island (the best track in the world!) every year without fail. We take two days each way on some of the best motorcycling roads that you can imagine. It's part of the experience. So, you deserved a break for yourself and you can always claim that it was part of the research required to write such a great blog. Have fun. Regularly! Cheers.
