Jonathasn Rea set the fastest time in the morning's qualifying with the top nine covered by under a second. Garrett Gerloff, whose quickest time was cancelled by yellow flags, was second quickest, ahead of Alex Lowes and Toprak Razgatlioglu.

But they fired him/he quit/whatever, and for now he's filling in for Lucas Mahias on the Pucetti Kawasaki team, who's off with broken bones in his hand or wrist, I forget which.
Gerloff
I'm hoping that this marks a resurgence for Gerloff. Without collecting other riders. And I'm expecting we'll see a return of Baz next year--always liked watching that guy race!
