The best Honda rider in the championship is Marc Marquez, so don't knock the part-time racers. Marc finished 6 races, missed 6 so far and he is still the Honda rider with the most points.

Aleix can still win the championship. Pecco, probably not. Wheel see.

I've just looked through the above picks and I notice that Aleix Espargaro was chosen a grand total of once. I'm not sure what this says, but it says a lot of it!

He had absolutely been on my list initially because I really wanted him to be successful this year, but then I thought I needed to be more realistic. Very happy to be proven wrong.

In the most unlikely event of Dovi/Cal winning, would there forever be an asterisk against the result?

…only out of respect for each and every punter / ress on here ;)

We didn’t really consider that scenario previously. However, Marc has been sidelined so often and long these past seasons, and we haven’t been adding Bradl’s to his tally (were there any, I believe so). I’d be inclined to keep things simple, it would be a bit of a kerfuffle to organize mathematically.

Can we live without?

I hadn't even thought about Marc - probably since he's still outscoring every other poor body on a Honda. Besides, it was a bit of a tounge in cheek comment as I suspect Cal will struggle to nab any points on the Yamaha (along with everyone else whose surname doesn't begin with Q).

Your work here much appreciated Ivanhoe and definitely don't want to make it any harder for you.

I think every rider who is injured should get 25 points because they could have won if they were racing ....  ;-)
