The rain in Buriram caused quite a stir. There were a lot of things we couldn't see coming. Including the riders in the opening laps

Man, that is just mean. Accurate, but just mean.

After reading about Aprilia's latest patents[in CW], I'd love to see what the inside of their fairings look like. They're diverting air between the bottom radiator and the extension of the front of the bellypan and exiting it between the modified spoon and hugger, which is adjustable fore and aft, apparently to also  help adjust rear tyre  temperature. So using internal aero rather than Ducati's wings and ducts. Subtle and sneaky. Maybe part of the reason for the bulging lower fairing. 

C'mon Simon, do it with mirrors.

So did John Britten with the radiator at the rear, this is a bit different, and working on several different fronts. Pretty trick tho'.

Also, the front of the fairing reminds me somewhat of Peter Williams monocoque Norton. Another great innovator.

Since they're heading to PI, maybe the SC on the tail of the Aprilia is for Southern Coast?
