I'm not so sure Gresini just got any better by landing Aoyama to replace Melandri.

I have to ask this just to see what your thoughts are David.
Are the only 2 eligible for Rookie of the Year next year going to be Abraham and Crutchlow, since Elias has previously been in MotoGP? I would guess so, but I figured I would ask you to just be sure.

Correct, Abraham and Crutchlow are the only two eligible, as Elias already has extensive experience in MotoGP.
