The waning popularity of wsk
It's a little sad to see wsk attract so little comment these days. What was once the most exciting series of all seems to have become almost irrelevant to most of us, myself included. I hope Dorna have some ideas up their sleeves and act before it's too late. They might want to start by getting the full races on free to air for a year or two, as such a little known niche sport surely won't make enough through pay TV.
British World Superbike?
British World Superbike? Well, largely enough to be worth a jab.
But don't worry: Dorna is in control! EVO will solve everything... *grin*
I'm watching
For the last few years I've watched the World SBK races with far more anticipation than MotoGP . It's still the most exciting series if one is interested to see several genuine contenders - both men and machines - competing to win races.
And I find Sykes, Biaggi, Haga, Bayliss, Checa, Melandri, Rea etc just as charismatic and admirable as the MotoGP crew with their helmets on or off.
So why aren't you watching it? You prefer one-horse processions?
'Motomatters'...
This is a GP-focused site... don't expect too much.
I get most of my online WSB fix elsewhere, but love the WSB stuff here mostly because I like how Jared writes it up.
WSBK
It's not because the racing isn't entertaining though, not less than it has been in years past.
Not having as widespread a
Not having as widespread a coverage as GP has put WSBK short of a lot of eyeballs. The racing has been phenomenal,to say the least. I very strongly believe that it is a business decision to keep WSBK in the background till GP is back to its former glory.
If they start pushing WSBK in the same way as GP then it will definitely eat into GP Viewership.
