Randy
16th on the first session. Close to crutchlow, bautista and iannone and ahead of the pointless hondas, Now lets see if they improve over the weekend.
Vmax
306.5 km/h was the maximum speed of Suzuki against 324.9 km/h of Iannone. That's a big speed deficit but also shows that the balance is ok. We will see what happens in a second session. I assume that their approach to the weekend is gathering informations not chasing time, so we won't see their real pace until monday when Maverick and Aleix take over, and we know that they are speed maniacs :)
Power or gearing
Assuming that bike set-up is at least 'adequate' for him not to be losing too much time out of the final turn, is the GSX-RR down on power (running at similar levels to the proddie Honda), or simply geared too short?
And if it does have a power deficit, is that due to Suzuki struggling with the silly fuel limits or the wick having been turned down for this 'shakedown' session?
