Sam Lowes has topped the second day of the Moto2 test at Jerez, the Swiss Innovative Investors KTM rider borne by newly refound confidence to get under the pole record at the Andalusian track.
Lowes' teammate Iker Lecuona ended the day in second, the young Spaniard showing a good turn of pace once again, and finishing ahead of the factory-backed Red Bull KTM of Brad Binder in third.
Pecco Bagnaia is the first Kalex, matching the time of Binder on the Sky VR46 Racing Kalex, less than two tenths behind Lowes, working through a program to adapt to the Ohlins suspension the team is running this year. Xavi Vierge was fifth fastest on the Dynavolt Intact Kalex, three tenths behind Lowes and just ahead of Alex Marquez on the Marc VDS Kalex. Romano Fenati was seventh quickest, ahead of the second factory KTM of Miguel Oliveira.
The final session of Moto2 practice was disrupted due to spots of rain, and the final day of testing looks to be a wet affair. Most teams will run a shortened program tomorrow if they are met with a wet track, packing up to get ready for the first race of the season in just 10 days time.

I think I've said this a
I think I've said this a couple of times already but: Brad qualifies better than he tests, and races better than he qualifies, so bring it on Brad!
I am definitely speaking too early since neither Oliveira nor Binder are in MotoGP, but Aki ajo and KTM sure have demonstraited a good support structure with these two so far.
They have a remarkable talent in retaining the loyalty of their riders while advancing them at the same time.

What happened to Joan Mir?
In reply to Joan Mir by Meguro
He crashed during MX training...
...and he's not fit for the test. I don't think they announce anything broken though so he should be there for the first race.
Woooooo!
Onit Sam!!!!
