Madonna di Campiglio (Italy), 14 January 2013 – A light dusting of snow welcomed the arrival of Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden at Madonna di Campiglio for the twenty-third edition of the Wrooom Press Ski Meeting. The riders arrived in Trentino behind the wheel of an Audi dressed in special Wrooom colours.

Tomorrow morning, the two Ducati Team riders will hold the first press conference of the event that symbolically marks the start of the international motorsports season.

Preparations are almost ready for the unveiling of the Desmosedici GP13, scheduled for tomorrow evening in a mountaintop chalet at Madonna di Campiglio. In the meantime, the bikes were transported up the mountain, clearly under wraps, behind a snowcat, arousing the curiosity of the skiers on the slopes.

Wrooom 2013 will continue on Wednesday with press conferences for Bernhard Gobmeier, the new General Manager of Ducati Corse, and Stefano Domenicali (Ferrari Team Principal).

Thursday, it will be the turn of the Ferrari drivers, whereas Friday’s grand finale will feature a spectacular exhibition challenge, with the MotoGP riders and Formula 1 drivers facing off in karts on the town’s frozen lake.

As I light up a smoke,Camel at that, thanks MM. All the very best to the 4 Ducati riders for 2013. I generally feel there is a sense of commitment within the whole VW/ducati setup with a rider lineup that potentially will turn heads around rather quickly. Liveries will certainly be more apt than they have been since 2011 VROOM. I still see supersize VR46Ducati models from Maisto on the shelves going for buy 1 ,get one free tags.

That is NOT the GP 13. Just look at the swing arm ...

Looking at the first picture with NH, AD and the 2013 Ducati MotoGP team, I can't help but see a "deer in the headlights" look on Dovi's face.

I can imagine him thinking....what have I got myself into?

Did anyone else notice the livery on the paper shredder in the foreground? If you zoom in, the sign above it says "deposit résumé here"

is hilarious. Nicky did have a "doh!", moment when he took that picture last year (I think?). I am waiting to see the "Official Unveiling". Really waiting for the first tests of the year to find out more on this new GP13. Let's see if there is any difference, or will it be pretty much the same with some help during the year to upgrade. If that is the case, then I will be very disappointed. With all the changes going on over at Ducati I would hope they would at least start the year of better than last. My favorite factory of all. They have been the underdogs as far as money goes. But they get so much passion out of people. Can't wait to find out!
