2023 Le Mans Moto3 Practice 3 Result: Migno Leads In Tricky Conditions

By Zara Daniela | Sat, 13/05/2023 - 07:23

A damp and chilly start to Saturday at Le Mans didn’t leave the lightweight class with any opportunity to change the combined top 14 ahead of qualifying but despite the tricky conditions, the track got busy straight away. And the yellow flags didn’t take too long to show up either, the session peppered with crashes – thankfully all harmless – and a brief red flag to clear the final corner of gravel. At the end of the 30 minutes, it was veteran Andrea Migno taking over at the top of the timing screens, despite having to contend with Q1 later today. Syarifuddin Azman continues to enjoy his weekend in France, finishing the tricky session two tenths off the lead and leading a quartet of men who had also secured safe passage into Q2: Dani Holgado, Ryusei Yamanaka, Xavi Artigas and Diogo Moreira.

Scott Ogden in seventh position was the last rider to post a time within a second of Migno’s and will be joining the Italian later today in Q1. Deniz Öncü and Mario Aji have successfully avoided that faith on Friday, unlike David Salvador, who completed the session’s top 10. Despite not featuring heavily throughout the morning’s action, the likes of Joel Kelso, Jose Antonio Rueda, Romano Fenati, Filippo Farioli, Ayumu Sasaki, Ivan Ortola and the leader of the combined standings, Jaume Masia, will be joining Q2 directly later today.
