Full result of the first World Superbike race at Assen:
Ben Spies led for most of the race, but was chased down by Nori Haga and Leon Haslam. Both Haga and Haslam got past the Yamaha rider, but couldn't escape. In the final laps, Spies reeled first Haslam and then Haga in. He passed Haslam with one of the bravest passes for many a year in WSBK, and the pass on Haga in Meeuwenmeer, just two corners from the end, was similarly courageous.
