Superpole 2
Carlos Checa was the fastest rider in Superpole 2, but the difference between the Althea Ducati rider and the 4th fastest man Cal Crutchlow was just one tenth of a second. Max Biaggi looked to have the fastest time in the bag with 8 minutes to go, setting another blistering lap, but he was passed within a couple of minutes by Checa and Haslam. James Toseland once again pulled a rabbit out of a hat, leaping out of the danger zone with a couple of minutes to go, but Noriyuki Haga and Johnny Rea could not manage the same feat, and were knocked out of the final session.
Out after Superpole 2: Luca Scassa, Sylvain Guintoli, Johnny Rea, Luca Scassa, Tom Sykes, Troy Corser, Sheridan Morais, Ruben Xaus, Noriyuki Haga

Superpole 3
Cal Crutchlow will start tomorrow's World Superbike races from pole position tomorrow, after the young Briton put in a scorching last lap to sneak the top time ahead of his Sterilgarda Yamaha teammate James Toseland. Toseland set his fastest time with 5 minutes to go. Toseland was convinced he had done enough to take pole, the double world champion breaking Ben Spies' lap record in just two laps during the final Superpole session, and he was very nearly right, falling just seventeen thousandths short of his teammate's pole time. Toseland almost lost his 2nd spot to Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa, the Spanish veteran getting within five hundredths of Crutchlow. The man who has been fastest for much of the weekend, Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio, took the final spot on the front row.
Championship leader Leon Haslam heads up the second row, ahead of Pata S&G's Jakub Smrz, while Max Biaggi, who dominated the earlier Superpole sessions, finished with the 7th fastest time ahead of his Alitalia Aprilia teammate Leon Camier.

Looks like Haga's season
Looks like Haga's season isn't turning around yet. Then again he's never been great at qualifying. Also I was gonna say something about Vermuelen's lack of good results lately but then started to wonder when the last time a Kawasaki has gotten on the podium in WSBK. That's a pretty good trivia question there.
