This was one of the best supersport races yet this season. Chaz Davies came from nowhere on the grid, early in the race pasing riders 2 and 3 abrest and got himself up to 2nd for a while. Sofuoglu made a charge through the pack himself passed Davies and set after Lascorz. At some point Laverty had engine trouble and had to retire. The 4 man battle for the lead streched out to separate battles for the lead and a great battle for 3rd between Davies and Gino Rea. The battle for the lead went on right up to the last lap with some great passing on that last lap.
