Only one non-Evo bike participated in Superpole one, the powerful Aprilia of Toni Elias, but he would be at a tyre disadvantage to the Evo bikes that had the Supersoft Pirelli available, an ideal tyre for the track temperature.
Leon Camier set the target lap in the first half, ahead of Toni Elias and Niccolò Canepa, before everyone spent the remainder of their tyres to try to get promoted to the second Superpole session. With the stickier rubber on his bike, Ivan Goi chopped four tenths off Camier's time only to be pipped by Canepa a few seconds later.
Elias's horsepower advantage wasn't enough, and the second slot in Superpole two was taken by Camier who deposed Goi at the flag.
