2016 Brno Moto3 FP2 Result: Business As Usual For Binder

Despite the temperatures getting a bit more daring, the sun still failed to feature heavily during the second Moto3 session of the day. That meant the riders struggled to match the times from FP1, the top three being the only ones able to improve on that benchmark. The first of them, championship leader Brad Binder, eventually retook his rightful place at the top of the timesheets.

Following Fenati’s exclusion from the team, the unofficial role of team leader is highly disputed this weekend, with Andrea Migno popping into second place, followed by FP1 leader Enea Bastianini, less than a tenth away.

A good final run saw several riders make up places from outside the top ten. Pecco Bagnaia finished fourth, with fellow Academy rider Nicolo Bulega salvaging a fifth position after crashing early into the session and spending a significant amount of time in the pits. Fabio di Giannantonio in sixth and Jorge Martin in seventh were other late improvers.

After a decent morning, Jorge Navarro finished down in eleventh position, failing to improve on his FP1 time and two places behind his rookie teammate, Aron Canet briefly leading the session at one point.
