It was another late start at Valencia, as rain yesterday afternoon and evening meant the track took a long time to dry, testing only getting underway in earnest around 12:30pm. The track has been busy since then, the teams and factories making up for time lost to the rain on Tuesday.
Marc Marquez led the times at 2:30pm, doing a limited number of laps but going quickly on the 2019 prototype. The factory Ducatis followed, Danilo Petrucci fractionally faster than Andrea Dovizioso. Two Yamahas were fourth and fifth fastest, Maverick Viñales under four tenths behind Marquez, while Franco Morbidelli was three quarters of a second slower than the Repsol Honda rider.
Joan Mir is currently fastest rookie, the Suzuki rider just a fraction ahead of Pecco Bagnaia on the Pramac Ducati. Jorge Lorenzo continues to adapt to the Honda, already four tenths faster than Tuesday, but still 1.5 seconds behind his teammate.
