still surprised by Marquez
Only six weeks after reconstructive shoulder surgery and he leads day one testing. Marquez makes the amazing - routine.
So true!
And that's not a slow lap time either!
I know it's only testing....but agreed.
On/Off - one speed, this has to be disconcerting to the more easily influenced in the paddock.
Endurance?
Sure, he's quick despite recent surgery. But the question is how well the sholder holds up and whether he can (currently) keep a high pace throughout a race. The lap time list just shows the fastest lap, so it hides the real performance (case in point is Aleix fast lap dashes in FP through the years).
MM97's second fastest lap would put him between Stefan Bradl and Pol Espargaro.
So, the question is - would his shoulder allow him to keep a consistently low (enough) pace in a race simulation at this point? At a glance, the two pilots behind him in the list have better pace.
