2019 Qatar MotoGP Test Monday 8pm Times: Viñales Leads Quartararo And Marquez

By David Emmett | Mon, 25/02/2019 - 17:12

Both the wind and the pace have picked up as the Qatar test nears its end, the former not having too much effect on the latter, though a fair bunch of riders have crashed, including Alex Rins, Cal Crutchlow, Taka Nakagami, Marc Marquez, and Bradley Smith, all without incident.

At 8pm, it is Maverick Viñales who is fastest, as testing reaching peak intensity. The Monster Energy Yamaha rider leads the Petronas Yamaha of Fabio Quartararo, who in teurn is a couple of tenths ahead of the Repsol Honda of Marc Marquez. Danilo Petrucci is currently fourth fastest on the factory Ducati, while Alex Rins is the fastest Suzuki rider, just ahead of Pramac Ducati's Pecco Bagnaia.

With two hours of track time left, an hour of which will be in ideal conditions, riders will be pushing both for times and for race simulations. The track will be busy now until the temperatures drop.
