2019 Sachsenring MotoE Qualifying Result: Indisputably Fastest

By Zara Daniela | Sat, 06/07/2019 - 15:16

The historic first qualifying session for the electric gang had plenty of sliding smoking rubber and most impressive of the lot proved to be Niki Tuuli. After playing the bridesmaid in both practice sessions, the Finnish rider wrote his name under the first E-Pole of the world cup with the first and only 1:27 time around the Sachsenring. Hector Garzo in second was left almost eighth tenths of a second behind, while Eric Granado found some speed to join the front row of the grid. FP1 leader Jesko Raffin came into qualifying as one of the favourites but left at the back of the grid after being presented with a black flag for exiting pitlane after his allocated time.
