Qatar Moto2 Test Day 1 Results: Gardner Leads The Way As Testing Resumes

Remy Gardner has finished the first day of the Moto2 test as fastest, the Australian making strong start to his switch to the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. Aron Canet finished second on the newly renamed Boscoscuro (formerly Speed Up), a quarter of a second behind Gardner.

American Joe Roberts ended the first day in third, just under half a second slower than Gardner. Roberts has switched to the Italtrans team for 2021, and the change has so far been for the good. Sam Lowes ended the day in fourth, a fraction behind Roberts and a little faster than Nicolo Bulega, while Xavi Vierge set the sixth fastest time.
