Nineteen laps of a dry track would determine the victor, with no red flags this time out.
Philipp Oettl got the drop on the field as Manuel Gonzales missed turn one and took to the escape road. Dominique Aegerter, Can Oncu and Federico Caricasulo sitting behind the leader. Aegerter took the lead into turn twenty, the penultimate turn, and held the lead in spite of Oettl's attempts to take the lead into turn one.
Further back, Kevin Manfredi and Jules Cluzel had a coming together, Manfredi barreling into Cluzel, carving a straight line through Cluzel's bike into the gravel trap of turn one. Cluzel took umbrage and took his frustrations out on Manfredi as the pair discussed the issue in the gravel trap.
Dominique Aegerter set the fastest lap on lap three, leading Philipp Oettl, Manuel Gonzalez and Luca Bernardi with Federico Caricasulo and Can Oncu behind them, but Manuel Gonzalez in third place set the fastest lap on lap four and immediately passed Philipp Oettl to take second. A lap later and Gonzalez set the fastest lap again and fought Aegerter for the lead, the pair side by side through chicanes, swapping the lead back and forth as they started the sixth lap.
Manuel Gonzalez passed Dominique Aegerter down the straight, but Aegerter placed himself so Gonzalez had to pass on the left, entering turn one on the outside and conceding the challenge for the lead. Behind him, Luca Bernardi made a hard pass into turn. One to take third from Philipp Oettl, the leading four clear of fifth-placed Steven Odendaal and Federico Caricasulo.
At half race distance, Dominique Aegerter had a fraction of a lead over Manuel Gonzalez, Luca Bernardi and Philipp Oettl with Steven Odendaal breaking away from Federico Caricasulo to round out the leading group to five bikes, four Yamahas and a Kawasaki.
Dominique Aegerter set a personal best on lap nine, trying to escape at the front, and Luca Bernardi couldn't keep up with Aegerter and Gonzalez, running off into the turn one escape road, dropping to fifth place behind Steven Odendaal and Philipp Oettl. Shortly after, Federico Caricasulo caught and passed Bernardi with Valentin Debise right behind the pair smelling blood.
Eleven laps in, Dominique Aegerter and Manuel Gonzalez had the fight for the lead to themselves, with Steven Odendaal losing touch with the leaders. Philipp Oettl was a second further back in fourth place, two seconds ahead of Federico Caricasulo, Luca Bernardi and Valentin Debise. Dominique Aegerter dropped the pace on lap twelve, allowing Odendaal to bridge the gap and once more feel hope.
The leading trio were riding a pace determined by the leader, Dominique Aegerter setting another personal best lap after slowing enough to let Odendaal catch Gonzalez. With five laps to go, the leading trip were covered by half a second and Aegerter was controlling the pace, with the leading trio consistently faster than anyone else on track, but at the start of lap sixteen, only two tenths covered the leading trio with Philipp Oettl over three seconds behind. Two seconds behind Oettl, Luca Bernardi recovered fifth place, with Valentin Debise and Federico Caricasulo having to fight over sixth place.
At the start of lap seventeen, Aegerter had set another personal best lap, a quarter of a second quicker than the bikes behind his Yamaha, and he started to break free of the riders behind him. Steven Odendaal snuck past Manuel Gonzalez, but had a three quarters of a second gap to Aegerter up front.
At the start of the last lap, Dominique Aegerter was out of range of Steven Odendaal in second place but Manuel Gonzalez was all over Odendaal, nipping at his heels to try to steal second place, but Odendaal kept to the apexes of the last two turns, not giving Gonzalez a gap to wedge himself into. Philipp Oettl held onto fourth place six seconds behind the fight, with two tenths of a second covering Luca Bernardi, Federico Caricasulo and Valentin Debise a second behind.
Dominique Aegerter extends his lead in the championship to thirty seven points over Steven Odendaal with Philipp Oettl a further thirty three points behind. Manuel Gonzalez climbed past Luca Bernardi, leading him by only 2 points after this weekend.

Bernadi missing ?
Jared, Bernadi is missing from both race result listings. Like there is a special character stuck to his name that skips printing him. Position 5 in this race, Position 6 in first race... can this be fixed ?
yup
I'm sure it can be fixed …
