The final practice session of the premier class brought a slight rise in temperature that saw more brave souls look towards the hard rear tyre but Fabio Quartararo was not one of them after his adventures on Friday. He had no need for it either, the Yamaha man setting an impressive and unrivalled pace throughout the session on the medium. The Frenchman started fast right out the gates and with a sizeable advantage that rivals steadily brought down to a quarter of a second at the checkered flag. Pol Espargaro came closest, ending the session second and closely followed by Pecco Bagnaia. The Marquez brothers did some more tandem riding early on, with Marc climbing into fourth position and Alex eventually dropping to 10th.
Alex Rins carried the flag for Suzuki in fifth place and as the final rider to post a time within half a second of the leader, while Joan Mir was left 18th after a bit of a moment on the hard rear tyre. Jack Miller was sixth quickest ahead of Aleix Espargaro’s Aprilia, with Valentino Rossi and Johann Zarco joining Alex Marquez in the top 10 positions. Enea Bastianini and Cal Crutchlow also posted times within a second of Quartararo’s, while Brad Binder was the lead KTM man in 13th place.
