The final practice session for the intermediate class followed the same familiar script, with riders making a bit of noise on the timesheets early on before settling back into a rhythm and then attacking the standings once more for the final handful of minutes. After Sam Lowes put his name at the top of the combined timesheets on only his third lap and kept it there for most of the session, the Ajo boys turned things around for the final five minutes, with Raul Fernandez claiming top spot by one tenth of a second from teammate Remy Gardner. Lowes dropped to third, with FP1 leader Jorge Navarro back in fourth. Despite a crash at turn 9 on his very first flying lap of the session, Fabio Di Giannantonio rejoined the action and the top five.
Marco Bezzecchi in sixth place was six tenths off the lead, as was the rest of the top 10, comprised of Albert Arenas, Aron Canet, Marcos Ramirez and Nicolò Bulega. As for the rest of the top 14, Augusto Fernandez was unusually low but Xavi Vierge, Ai Ogura and particularly Fermín Aldeguer found some speed to secure places directly into Q2. Marcel Schrotter was the first rider to miss out, only three hundredths of a second behind 14th place.
