A sunny session saw the MotoGP riders get plenty of track time to improve their times, after yesterday's washed out FP2. Pecco Bagnaia carried the momentum from his Aragon win to take top spot in FP3, the Ducati Lenovo Team working together with test rider Michele Pirro to prepare the race and try to pack Q2.
Fabio Quartararo was second fastest, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider much more comfortable in the dry than in the wet. Jack Miller was third, after a brief delay in the pits to remove one of the tiny flies which have been buzzing around the track after the recent rainshowers. Joan Mir took a solid fourth spot, while Maverick Viñales followed up his strong opening in FP1 with an excellent fifth place in FP3, on his second outing on the Aprilia.
Aleix Espargaro was sixth quickest behind his teammate, after his best lap was first canceled and then restored. That pushed Alex Rins into seventh, both Suzukis making it into Q2. The Pramac Ducati squad's Johann Zarco took eighth place, his teammate taking tenth with Repsol Honda's Pol Espargaro sandwiched in between.
The morning saw a lot of crashes, with Valentino Rossi the first rider to go down. There were crashes for Danilo Petrucci and Iker Lecuona as well, while a frustrated Marc Marquez crashed out at Turn 14 on his final run, after a late release by his team meant he missed the chance of a tow from Joan Mir.
