It was the 17th race, but the 18th round, that is the convention I have used throughout the life of this website, to avoid confusion. With Laguna Seca gone from the calendar next year, we won't have this problem, as the Moto2 and Moto3 classes will also have either 18 or 19 races, depending on whether Brazil happens.
