What do you think of next

What do you think of next season having a 4th added as a "tie breaker" that cannot be repeated for folks that choose the same 3 riders in the same order? No need to count points other than the top 3 like this year.

We can use the order to rank them when they have the same, like Lilyvani ahead of D999 because he has Quartararo higher up = better tip.

What about number of entrants? Limit to 24, or no?

Thank you Ivan! (Podium battle heating up here, AND on track for Mir vs Miller eh?! Even in the comments section. I like Mir quite a bit, and find Jack less charming than some other folks. My first quick take on their clash was underconsidered, the TV feed didn't offer a lot of perspective. I projected onto it a bit as well. I still think Mir a better rider, and Jack having bumped his trajectory ceiling and passed by Pecco...perhaps Martin and Bastiannini are drafting too? But Jack has a right to be cranky w Mir for the bump pass, even with appreciation that Duc and inline 4 lines are convergent).

Really prescient tip on Bagnaia there Cloverleaf! I thought that a long shot when you put it in.

The "tip once all season" has been great. I wouldn't mind seeing a week to week tipping contest as well, I'd throw a hundred bucks into a prize pool too.

There could be something

There could be something before Fri FP's like:

Podium 1,2,3

Holeshat (1st thru T1)

Top Rookie

Crashers

_________

(No $ though, from experience just makes stress and disappointment when we aren't physically present). Agreed though, a bit of cabbage makes it more fun. I led a local "MotoGP Pool" for yrs, we got together at a local bar on race Sundays to watch over breakfast and beers. It was fun! System: before Race 1 FP1 you submitted the WHOLE GRID top to backmarker in order. Each person got two riders. Used a "pick out of the hat" who goes first to last of participants. You get for rider one your top rider still avail. Last out of hat gets 1st pick of round two,  going back up the list. So last participant got two mid pack riders, first participant got a top rider and last one left. Worked great, and you had to know and got to follow the WHOLE field. Really interesting to make a call on P23 vs P22.

Even then, when I won via clear obvious evident parameters, a team mate of mine at the track said I must have cheated. Other friends never paid their buy in, sucked up by yours truly but still paid out 2nd and 3rd. Human nature ever arrives.

________

;)

I can start it if you want. LOVE the keen interest and discussion it provides. Plus, the lack if B.S. that stats offer. If you're right, you're right! Would you change or add to the above for a per Round tip?

;)

I can dig it no matter how

I can dig it no matter how deep you want to go. Pitch it and we'll see who we can bring onboard and let's make it happen if we get some good numbers.

As long we had a fail-safe system in place such as everyone picks a default selection of picks so that if they don't get around to making their selections one week they will still get a run. Perhaps with a minor penalty.

I'm more than happy to roll this idea around for awhile and see what we can come up with. It would certainly add a bit more spice and in my experience it brings communities like this closer together. It's amazing what some banter can do.

Let's add you Highside, welcome - it has been fun.

Look here under David's "Championship Standings" article like this at the end of the season. It starts there after the last race and gives us something to chat about in the off season re the current grid evolution. You will want to get in early if each 1, 2, 3, tb (tie breaker) can only be chosen once.
