Viva Toprak the Green Giant
Viva Toprak the Green Giant Toppler! We had been awaiting your arrival in World SBK. Now we await it in MotoGP for sure.
Wonderful job this yr.
HELÂL OLSUN
Congratulations Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, good job! TR54 beat the superbike legend. Great result at the end of an amazing season!
I was there at Donington in 2018 when Toprak took his first podium in SBK. Razgatlıoğlu has been getting better all this time.
Toprak won his first race on the Yamaha at Phillip island in 2020, that was good to see. Haven't been back to P.I. since.
Meet the new boss, younger and faster than the "Goat". Celebrate the new champ!
Garrett Gerloff all is forgiven.
a yammie career saved maybe

But…
Wasn't Kawasaki at a slight disadvantage this year? I'm sure I read this somewhere, and that they'll be able to go bigger, better, faster next season. Either way, Toprak has been needed for a few years now. Those stoppies going into corners - how on earth does he do that? And the total, fearless commitment, a cigarette paper shy of reckless. Actually that applies to JR as well, the show this year has been better than any I can remember since the WSBK heyday. Personally, I hope Toprak stays in WSBK for at least another two or three seasons. It would be a great shame to see him repeat the Bayliss / Hodgson / Toseland experience, wasted on a slightly inferior machine.
Good one Apical!
Ha, yes, all is forgiven.
Truly a breathtaking season of racing with twists and turns down to the final race. Happy to see Toprak win it with incredible riding skills. Leaves us all wanting more. I have to say, after the snitching incident at Magny-Cours I can't look at JR the same way again. The best man won.
As good as WSBK was ...
... the racing in Supersport was much better all year. The last two in Mandelika were fantastic. Nothing against the Rea - Top Cat - Redding racing, but WSSP was superb.
Rea
There was a practice incident with Chas on the V2 that said so much about Rea's attitude to his fellow riders .
WSSP
Yes, the last 2 supersport races were awesome , but one can take nothing away from Toprak, he was great especially in the later rounds this year, I wish he was going to Moto GP next year, I think he could do very well there.
