How many crashless races before we say Rins is "cured?" How long until we take him seriously as in Title contention?

The improved outright power is helping him not feel desperate in corners. He looks settled and happy. Could have turned that corner? Suzuki should re sign him obviously. (Cue a jinx).

He looks great! He has before. He is for sure out of the bad funk he was in for much of 2021. But is that also taking him past his more general crash inclination under pressure? Tough call.

Alex Marquez - I was thinking he just "did an Elias" to perform in a time to keep his seat. But, he DOES periodically perform well. His brother wants him at Honda. Nakagami is pretty clearly going to WSBK. Perhaps Alex just squeaks into keeping his seat here. Hmm.

We've talked about Miller. Not so much Zarco. It doesn't look so good for either of them despite some very strong races. Red is going to keep a few riders and shed a few riders in order to freshen the stable. There aren't so many seats available. Pramac, Gresini, and maybe one at LCR. Tough times.

Again, we await a couple of signings. Mir and Quartararo. The Ducati seats. There are ifs...IF Mir leaves Suzuki then Bastiannini is first up for that seat. IF...yadda yadda. Just going to wait here for now.

Alright then, bikes...right now lots of bikes look really good. None perfect. The Aprilia looks strong for a season even. The Suzuki is fantastic. The 2022 Ducati is still ironing out (in both its motor iterations) but good. Honda is teething a bit.

Best bike now? 2021 Ducati? Suzuki? All of them?

v Hooray everyone beating Cloverleaf...things are changing in the tipping?

I've liked his speed since he arrived and now he's showing what he's learned with better race craft. Add in the Suzuki is much more competitive and he could be a race winner anywhere. Meanwhile Taka probably stays in MotoGP until a younger Japanese is ready for MotoGP. I think Alex keeps his seat on a Honda or he leaves the sport because Honda can't have MM's brother aboard a competing MotoGP brand. Of course if MM should retire for some reason, Alex would be released. Meanwhile I don't see how Ducati wins the rider's championship with so many of them taking points off each other. Curious season for sure.

I did and could have wept with frustration. A win was there on the plate and Jake knows he’s easily good enough to take that. Maybe next time. Odd thing is that I don’t remember Jake being a crasher in BSB.

Anybody else eagerly awaiting Ivanhoe’s post with the Motomatters Dreamteam Championship standings after round 5? Ivanhoe, are you okay..?

I'm dying over here wondering what my one rider, Miller, taking out my other rider, Mir, will do to me. Twice already this has happened. Pecco took out Martin earlier. And now Martin has crashed again. I tell ya, I can't catch a break. Sheesh!

I am pondering and waiting. Even started on a spreadsheet of my own, didn't get far. Boredom crept in and I started dozing off.

Apical has more points than before.

"Ivanhoe, to the Motomatters courtesy phone please."

:)

I am super curious too! And patient, he isn't being paid much. Thanks in advance.

(It has been so odd this season. Maybe coming more normal? Hardly anyone picked Rins or Aleix. Our Bagnaia bookie's favorite is keeping things interesting)

Even though it screws my chances, REALLY backing Bastiannini now. A few people tipped him. Good job!

I sincerely hope all is well, Ivanhoe, and i'm not trying to steal your thunder. An idea wormed its way into peter's mind, then the OCD kicked in. Check yer numbers, Motomutterers, and leave a comment with any corrections.

Thanks for doing this spongedaddy I got about half way through and lost interest. My S/S skills aren't what they once were.

Bagnaia has 31 points as of Saturday morning before Jerez. Not 23. Hopefully more on Sunday night :-)

I reckon I have 193 points. Twenty points behind Motoshrink & 38 points of the lead. M'shrink got 31 for Pecco?

Doug Polen is 23.

Ivanhoe I hope you are well.

I am still in this thing! 10th is not bad. Besides, I want Bastiannini to do the business more than I want to be right about Bagnaia and Martin.

Via Occam's Razor, assuming our friend Ivanhoe is just enjoying time out in the bush, or immersed in work etc. No worries yet. But where the heck is Jinx?!

^ Thanks Sponge, it takes the whole garage village

(Hey, Bossy TheBoss, are you keeping an eye on this? You are up front! Gerry, she's beating us soundly)
